How is Investment Value calculated?
Value is a crucial metric that reflects the total worth of your assets within our platform. It encompasses not only the current value of your investments but also any available cash balances.
To calculate your Investment Value, we follow a straightforward formula:
Value = Current Investment Value + Cash Balances
Current Investment Value represents the combined value of all your current investment positions based on the valuation set at the Last Priced Round[1]. You can easily find this information when you visit your portfolio in the 'Positions' section.
Cash Balances indicate the amount of cash you have available in your cash accounts. You can track your cash balances in each of your cash accounts within the portfolio view.
LP Accounts
If you're an LP (Limited Partner), you're essentially a stakeholder in a GP-LP fund. Your Investment Value takes into account your ownership percentage of the GP-LP's investment positions and cash balance:
- Current Investment Value: Includes your LP ownership percentage of the GP-LP's investment positions.
- Cash Balances: Incorporates your LP ownership percentage of the GP-LP's cash balance.
Managed Accounts
For those with a Managed Account, your investments are directly associated with your account. This means that the entire value of your investments and cash balance in your managed account is included in your Investment Value.
