Inviting investors to your fundraise is made easy on Floww. When you send an invitation, the investor will be required to pass eligibility and verification checks before submitting a firm commitment. To help you keep track of where your investors are in this process, our platform provides you with this visibility over each investor.
In your fundraise, you will see a status linked to each Investor. To help you understand each status, below we have:
- Listed all the statuses that can be displayed on each tab in your fundraise
- A description of each status
- Where necessary, what action is required by you
In the ‘Investor’ tab of your fundraise:
You’ve added your investor to your fundraise but you still need to Invite them to your fundraise. What’s next? To invite the investor to your fundraise, click the ‘Invite to find out more’ button.
Congratulations- you’ve just invited an Investor to your fundraise 🎉 The Investor will receive an email which contains a link to your fundraise. What’s next? You're waiting for your investor to follow the link in your email and view your fundraise.
Your Investor has viewed your Company Information and has viewed the fundraise. Your Investor has not yet accepted or rejected your invite. What’s next? You’re waiting for your investor to accept your fundraise invite.
Your Investor has accepted your fundraise invite. Your Investor will now go through Eligibility checks on the Floww platform. What’s next? You’re waiting for your Investor to start checks on the Floww platform. You can trigger a reminder on the Floww platform to nudge the investor to need to send the investor a reminder.
Unfortunately your investor isn’t interested in your fundraise. What’s next? You can re-invite your investor if you believe they now want to invest.
Eligibility in Progress
Your investor has started the Eligibility checks required to access your financial promotion on Floww. This includes their categorisation and, where necessary, assessment and self certification. What’s next? Floww will proactively manage this process directly with the investor however you can still send the investor a nudge on the Floww platform to speed the process up.
Disclaimer Not Accepted:
Your investor needs to accept the financial promotion disclaimer before gaining entry to your fundraise. What's next? You can remind your investor to accept the disclaimer.
Great news, your investor can now access your fundraise! What's next? Manage your investor's commitments in the 'commitment' tab. Investors will be able to make Soft or Firm Commitments. Just remember, for an investor to make a Firm Commitment, they will need to have completed Verification checks on Floww’s platform.
Unfortunately, your investor can’t participate in your fundraise. Reasons vary but may include complications with Investor Categorisation or Identity Verification. What’s next? The Investor won’t be able to access your fundraise. Reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for further support.
In the ‘Commitments’ tab of your fundraise:
Waiting for Commitment
Your Investor has full access to your fundraise but has not submitted either a Soft or Firm commitments. What’s next? You can nudge your investor to make a Commitment. Investors will be able to make Soft or Firm Commitments. Just remember, for an investor to make a Firm Commitment, they will need to have completed Verification checks on Floww’s platform.
Soft Commitment Made
Your Investor has made a soft commitment to your fundraise. This indicates the Investor is interested in your fundraise however a soft commitment isn’t legally binding so the Investor will need to submit a firm commitment. What’s next? Give your investor a ‘request a firm commitment’ nudge on Floww to ask for a firm commitment.
Firm Commitment Under Review
Your investor has made a firm commitment, but Floww needs to perform some quick checks. Rest assured, this only happens for a small number of investors where individual situations are more complex. What’s next? Sit tight as Floww’s checks won’t take long. You’ll receive an email once these checks have been completed.
Firm Commitment Approved
Congratulations-an investor has submitted a firm commitment 🎉. What’s next? Once you’ve received all the firm commitments you desire, the allocation process can be started in the ‘allocation’ tab.
In the ‘Allocation’ tab of your fundraise:
Floww needs to perform some quick checks relating to your investor’s commitment. What’s next? Sit tight as Floww’s checks won’t take long. You’ll receive an email once these checks have been completed. The investor will then be able to receive a share allocation.
Ready for Allocation
The investor can be allocated shares. What’s next? If you are able to allocate, you can enter a monetary value or share amount to allocate shares to your investor.
Allocation in Progress
Your investor has been allocated shares provisionally. What’s next? If you are able to allocate, you can edit the allocation to this investor. If you’re happy with the allocation for all investors, you can click the ‘complete allocation’ button.
You’ve completed allocation for all investors and have clicked the ‘complete allocation’ button. What’s next? Your fundraise is now closed and settlement with Investors will be initiated. If you’ve made a mistake or have any questions, get in contact with email@example.com for assistance.
In the ‘Settlement’ tab of your fundraise:
Your Investor has been allocated shares. What’s next? Sit tight as Floww will reach out to them regarding the collection of outstanding amounts.
Your investor has been sent the payment instructions and we are awaiting to receive payment. What's next? You can reach out to your investors and support them.
Your investor has transferred a portion of the total payment. We're still waiting for the remaining balance. What's next? You can reach out to your investors and support them.
Your investor has paid the required funds. What's next? Sit tight as Floww will reconcile any outstanding investors.
Your investor's investment has been completed and no further action is required. What’s next? Your fundraise manager will be in touch over transferring these funds over to you.
